Grandford Carpet Mills was started in 1990 by E.J.Copplestone and his wife with the intention of supplying quality carpets direct to the public at factory prices, with the added advantage of being able to be advised by the owners who have been in the carpet trade since 1948 and worked in every aspect of it.

The business is completely run by the owners and two sons and all yarns are of UK origin, as are both the primary and secondary backing material, so far the concept of selling Extra Heavy Duty Carpet.

We are also able to offer any colour you wish on a special dye to order basis, you tell us the colour and we will make it for you in 80/20 twist at no extra cost. The only requirement is that it is for a minimum of 60 sq. yds.

These carpets are produced with approximately 160 tufts per sq. inch and the pile being .8mm long prior to shearing, this makes up into very luxurious carpet and the specification of competitors products should be taken into consideration when purchasing, in fact very few manufacturers make carpets with this specification.

In common with many other leading manufacturers we do not recommend that our carpets be treated with anti-soiling methods, also any carpets that are cleaned should be cleaned professionally by a Company that use a dry foam method of cleaning. Our company advises that CHEM DRY cleaning is the best and will supply addresses of the nearest contractor upon request.

If a carpet cannot be walked upon after approximately 20 minutes from cleaning do not use this method. It places too much liquid into the pile and can cause untold problems both with the backing and the pile.
